Kaleiçi (Old Town)

Ah, Kaleiçi! The heart and soul of Antalya. Walking through this historic district feels like stepping back in time, with its narrow, cobblestone streets and beautifully preserved Ottoman-era houses. We stayed in a charming boutique hotel right in the middle of Kaleiçi, and waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the sight of ancient walls was something special.

As you wander through Kaleiçi, make sure to stop by Hadrian's Gate, a stunning Roman triumphal arch that dates back to 130 AD. This gate is your entrance to the Old Town, and it's a perfect spot for some Instagram-worthy photos! Don't miss the Clock Tower (Saat Kulesi) and the Yivli Minaret, both iconic landmarks that tell the story of Antalya’s rich past.

Hadrian's Gate

Speaking of Hadrian's Gate, this ancient structure is more than just a pretty face. It’s one of the best-preserved Roman gates in the world! As you pass under its towering arches, you can almost feel the history that’s seeped into the stones. The gate was built in honor of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and it’s still standing strong after nearly 2,000 years. Amazing, right?

Perge Ancient City

If you’re a history enthusiast (like me!), you’ll definitely want to visit Perge. Just a short drive from Antalya, this ancient city was once one of the most important cities in the Roman Empire. Walking through the ruins, you can see the remnants of a grand theater, a stadium, and even a Roman bathhouse. It’s easy to imagine what life must have been like here centuries ago.

Aspendos Theatre

Another must-see is the Aspendos Theatre, one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world. This magnificent structure is still used for performances today—how cool is that? We caught a classical concert here, and the acoustics were incredible. Migros 5M Shopping Center

For a more laid-back shopping experience, check out Migros 5M Shopping Center. This mall is a favorite with locals, and it has a nice mix of shops, including a large supermarket where you can stock up on Turkish delights (literally!). There’s also a cinema and a bowling alley, so it’s a fun place to spend an evening.

Deepo Outlet Center

Haggling is part of the experience here, so don’t be afraid to negotiate a bit. We had a blast browsing the stalls and chatting with the friendly vendors.

Lara Street Market

If you’re looking for local produce and handmade goods, Lara Street Market is the place to be.
